The mission of the Electrical Engineering Deparment of DINAIN S.L. is to design and calculate all electrical projects.

This department is specialized in the development of applications for Navantia Ferrol and it has a professional human equipment (engineers, technical engineers, draftsmen and designers) with a large experience either in Ship Development Engineering (frigates, amphibious vessels, etc) as in Functional Phase Calculations in the following areas:

ELECTRICITY

• Electrical Balance.
• Sizing of:
  • Electrical Plants
  • Generators
  • Frequency Converters
  • Rectifiers, Batteries and UPS
  • Transformers
• Purchase Technical Specifications of equipments and systems.
• Short circuit currents calculations, selectivities, lighting system, etc…
• Harmonic Analysis, load flows and transitories.
• Diagrams of:
  • Lighting System
  • Power Unifilars for different distribution nets.
  • Navigation Lights and signs, as well as landing aid lights for different kind of ships.

In addition to this DINAIN also perform:

• Canalization general diagrams and 3D design.
• Electrical equipment situation studies for integration with the rest of the ship disciplines (Hull structure, piping, ventilation, accomodation, etc…)
• Cable routing and unifilar conection diagrams.
